Communications Ministry Proposes Photo ID Verification for Porn Sites – Sam George

Ghana's Minister for Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has disclosed that the ministry is developing a proposal that could require individuals to verify their identity with a photo ID before accessing pornography websites.

According to the minister, the proposed measure forms part of broader efforts to regulate online content and enhance digital safety, particularly for minors. He indicated that the initiative is aimed at restricting underage access to explicit material while promoting responsible internet use across the country.
