Nigerian Human Trafficker Sentenced to 10 Years Imprisonment in Ghana
A Nigerian man identified as Chukwudi Nwachuku has been sentenced to 10 years in prison with hard labor for his involvement in a major human trafficking operation.
Nwachuku was found guilty of trafficking ten young Nigerian girls, aged between 15 and 18, into Ghana and forcing them into prostitution.
The Achimota Circuit Court, presided over by Her Honour Mrs. Akosua Anokyewaa Adjepong, also ordered the convict to pay GH¢15,000 in restitution to each of the victims.
The ruling serves as a strong message against human trafficking and the exploitation of young girls, emphasizing Ghana’s commitment to justice and the protection of vulnerable individuals.
