Man Found Dead Following Dispute with Commercial Sex Worker.

A 28-year-old man, identified as Yaw Asamoah, has died in a tragic incident at Abrense near Atobease in the Amansie West District of the Ashanti Region. The incident, which occurred on Monday, November 3, 2025, reportedly followed a confrontation after Asamoah lost GHC1,000 during a visit to a commercial sex worker.

Attempts to recover the money allegedly escalated into a heated altercation that ended fatally. His lifeless body was later discovered in an abandoned mining pit, sparking fear and outrage among residents.

Confirming the incident to Citi News on Friday, November 7, the Assembly Member for the Atobease Electoral Area, Samuel Yeboah, said two suspects, including the sex worker, have been arrested to assist police investigations. He noted that the body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue for autopsy while investigations continue.
