The IGP is alive and well, discharging his duties," – Ghana Police.

The Ghana Police Service has firmly dismissed widespread rumours claiming that Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Christian Tetteh Yohuno has passed away.

In a statement issued on Friday, the Service described the circulating reports as entirely false, urging the public to ignore them. The Police emphasized that such misinformation creates unnecessary panic and should not be entertained.

According to the Service, the IGP is “alive and well” and continues to discharge his duties without any interruption. They further reassured the public that operations and leadership within the Police hierarchy remain stable.

The Police also encouraged citizens to rely on verified information from official channels to avoid the spread of misleading claims.
