Ghana Police Arrest Imam, Another Man Over Prophet Mohammed Videos
Two men have been arrested over separate videos involving statements about Prophet Mohammed, the Ghana Police Service says.

The Ghana Police Service has arrested two men over separate videos containing statements concerning Prophet Mohammed, with investigations into both cases currently underway.
One of the suspects has been identified as 35-year-old Masud Abdullah, an Imam. Police said he was arrested in a joint operation involving the National Signals Bureau (NSB).
According to the Police, Abdullah allegedly made statements advocating violence against people who speak ill of Prophet Mohammed while delivering a sermon at a mosque in Ntensere, in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District of the Ashanti Region.
Second arrest
The Police also announced the arrest of Daniel Junior Yaw Adjei, popularly known as Apostle Daniel JY Adjei, in connection with a separate video.
Police said Adjei was seen in the video making what the service described as derogatory and offensive comments about Prophet Mohammed.
The arrest was carried out by the Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team, according to the Police.
The two cases are being investigated separately, and the Police have not indicated that either suspect has been convicted of an offence.
Investigations continue
The Police said investigations are ongoing and that both suspects will be subjected to the due process of the law.
The arrests highlight the authorities' continued monitoring of videos and other digital content that may raise concerns over public safety or potentially contribute to tensions.
For now, the allegations against both men remain subject to investigation and any subsequent legal proceedings.
