Eric Asamoah Sentenced to 16 Years for Defilement in Mankessim
The Ghana Police Service has confirmed that Eric Asamoah has been sentenced to sixteen years imprisonment with hard labour by the Cape Coast Circuit Court for defilement in Mankessim. The convict pleaded guilty and has been sent to the Ankaful Prison to begin his sentence.
The Ghana Police Service, through its Public Affairs Unit in Cape Coast, has announced that the Circuit Court Two has sentenced Eric Asamoah to sixteen (16) years imprisonment with hard labour for defilement.

The case, which occurred on November 2, 2025, was presided over by Her Honour Nana Aba Quaiba Nunoo, who delivered the ruling on November 6, 2025.
According to the police statement, Asamoah pleaded guilty to the charge of defilement and was convicted on his own plea. He has since been transferred to the Ankaful Prison to begin serving his sentence.
The Ghana Police Service reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring justice for victims of sexual offences and urged the public to report such crimes promptly.
