‘Keep Sacking Striking Health Workers’ — Prophet Kofi Oduro Tells Akandoh

Prophet Kofi Oduro has stirred public debate after calling on Health Minister Kwabena Mintah Akandoh to take a firm stance against striking health workers. Speaking on the issue, the preacher did not mince words as he urged authorities to consider dismissals where necessary to maintain discipline in the health sector.

According to him, while workers have the right to express grievances, prolonged strikes in essential services such as healthcare put innocent lives at risk. He stressed that leadership must not appear weak in the face of repeated disruptions that affect patient care across the country.

His remarks have since sparked mixed reactions, with some agreeing that essential health services must be protected at all costs, while others argue that workers also deserve fair treatment and better working conditions.

The comments add to ongoing national conversations about balancing labour rights with public service delivery.
