Police Arrest Notorious Highway Robbery Gang Operating Across Ghana
The Ghana Police have arrested key figures in a notorious highway robbery syndicate operating across several parts of Ghana. The group, allegedly led by Kwame Bediako, also known as Star Boy, and Kofi Ishmael, is suspected to be behind a series of violent robberies and at least one murder carried out between 2023 and 2025.

Investigations indicate that the gang preyed on motorists, long-distance trailer drivers, civilians, and even a police officer. Their operations reportedly spanned major highways and roads, including the Tema Motorway, Achimota Forest Road, Suhum, Nkawkaw, Juaso, and the Kumasi corridor.

During the operation, police retrieved firearms, ammunition, and other dangerous weapons, and apprehended several accomplices linked to the gang. Authorities say efforts are ongoing to track down remaining suspects who are still on the run.
