Nigerian Content Creator Sparks Debate After Claiming “Ghanaians Are Very Slow”

A Nigerian content creator living in Ghana has stirred debate online after claiming that Ghanaians are “very slow” compared to Nigerians. In a video that has since gained attention, she remarked that “Ghana will test your patience,” describing her experience adjusting to what she perceives as a more relaxed pace of life.

According to her, coming from Nigeria’s fast-paced and highly competitive environment, adapting to everyday routines in Ghana initially proved challenging.

She went on to explain that, as a foreigner, one of the first lessons she had to learn was patience. She contrasted the lifestyle of Nigerians—often described as quick, sharp, and business-driven—with what she sees as a calmer, less hurried approach among Ghanaians.

While her comments have sparked mixed reactions online, with some agreeing and others pushing back, the discussion highlights broader cultural differences in work ethic, social pace, and daily living between the two West African nations.
