60% of crime in South Africa is linked to Nigerians - Jacinta claims.

Jacinta Ngobese, founder of the March and March Movement, has recently drawn attention following xenophobic tensions in South Africa, including an incident involving a Ghanaian resident who reportedly possessed valid legal documents. Her group is known for advocating stricter border controls, deportation of undocumented migrants, and tougher enforcement of immigration laws.

In a video shared on TikTok, Ngobese explained why her movement often focuses on Nigerians living in South Africa. She alleged that a significant number of Nigerians in the country are involved in crimes such as drug trafficking, fraud, prostitution, building hijackings, child exploitation, killings, and the sale of unsafe food. She also claimed that some individuals present themselves as victims of xenophobia when arrested.

Ngobese further argued that many Nigerians leave Nigeria due to insecurity and poor conditions but then create tensions in South Africa rather than pressing their own leaders for change. Her comments have sparked criticism, with many observers warning that broad accusations against an entire nationality can fuel xenophobia and unfairly target law-abiding migrants.
