Ghana Armed Forces Opens 2025/26 Recruitment for Military Academy Intake
The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has officially opened applications for the 2025/2026 intake into the Ghana Military Academy, inviting qualified young Ghanaians to pursue careers as officer cadets across the Army, Navy, and Air Force. Interested applicants have until Wednesday, December 24, 2025, to submit their forms.
As part of the requirements, candidates must be Ghanaian by birth, physically fit, of good character, and meet the academic standards set by GAF. Applicants for the Regular Officer Cadet course must be between 18 and 26 years old, unmarried, and meet the minimum height requirement of 1.68m for males and 1.60m for females, with some specialist units demanding stricter standards.
The recruitment opens opportunities in a wide range of fields including infantry, engineering, logistics, communications, aviation, healthcare, chaplaincy, and other technical roles.
Degree holders in engineering, sciences, aviation, medicine, and related professions are especially encouraged to apply, with some categories allowed higher age limits. To begin the process, applicants must purchase a GH₵250 e-voucher from designated Post Offices before completing the online form.
The Armed Forces emphasize that only original certificates will be accepted during documentation, urging applicants to thoroughly review the requirements before applying.
