Pastor Elvis Agyemang Suspends In-Person Services After Woman Tried to Set Auditorium on Fire

A brief disturbance occurred on Monday evening at Grace Mountain Ministry in Accra, the home of Pastor Elvis Agyemang’s widely followed Alpha Hour prayer sessions, after a woman caused panic during an in-person gathering.

Addressing the incident during an online broadcast on Tuesday, Pastor Agyemang announced the indefinite suspension of all physical Alpha Hour meetings, citing safety concerns for worshippers.

He condemned the act and questioned the hatred behind it, describing it as “demons feeding on humans,” while stressing that the ministry would not put lives at risk.

Pastor Agyemang also recalled a similar security scare in 2025, when an unknown individual sprayed powder within the prayer space, an incident that likewise raised alarm among congregants.

According to initial information, no major damage was recorded and no injuries were reported during Monday’s disturbance. The motives of the woman involved remain unconfirmed, and police have launched investigations into the matter.

Despite the suspension of physical meetings, Pastor Agyemang assured followers that Alpha Hour will continue online, urging members to remain calm and prayerful as authorities handle the case.
