The founder and leader of Champion Faith Community Chapel, Sofo Champion, has stirred controversy after making bold remarks about lotto staking and the practice of paying tithes.

Speaking on the issue, the outspoken preacher argued that no pastor can accurately describe lotto as a sin using a direct Bible quotation. According to him, many religious leaders condemn lotto without scriptural evidence to support their position.

Sofo Champion maintained that he does not see anything wrong with staking lotto and insisted that it should not be classified as sinful.

He further sparked debate by claiming that people who stake lotto are "wiser" than those who pay tithes because lotto offers a clear reward system for winners.

According to him, governments publicly outline the commissions and winnings attached to lotto, whereas he believes there is no biblical basis for modern tithing practices.

His comments have since generated mixed reactions among religious believers and members of the public, with many debating the role of faith, giving, and gambling in Christianity.
