“No University Graduate Will Join NDC Now” – Political Mavis

Political analyst Mavis has stirred public debate after claiming that no university graduate is currently willing to register and join the National Democratic Congress (NDC), citing growing frustration among young people over unemployment.

Speaking during an interview on Angel FM, Mavis argued that the NDC administration has failed woefully in providing jobs for graduates. She pointed to the government’s “Nkokɔ nkete-nkete” initiative, alleging that the chicks meant to support citizens have instead been distributed among party branch executives.

She further criticised the “Adwuma Wura” programme, which was introduced as a solution to youth unemployment. According to her, the initiative has not delivered the expected results, leaving many young graduates without meaningful opportunities.

Mavis also referenced comments attributed to the Member of Parliament for Madina, Francis-Xavier Sosu, who reportedly advised young people to consider selling indomie or opening multiple indomie joints as a way to create employment. She suggested that such remarks reflect the broader challenges facing job creation efforts.

“There are so many unemployed graduates in the country, yet the NDC government is actively implementing a 24-hour economy,” she added.

According to Mavis, the party’s recent track record and public perception may be discouraging educated young people from associating with it.

Her comments have since generated mixed reactions across social media and political circles. While some agree that political parties must do more to appeal to graduates, others argue that her claims are an overgeneralisation and do not accurately represent the views of all young people.
