Black Stars Coach Otto Addo Has Been Sacked

Ghana have parted ways with head coach Otto Addo just about two months before the 2026 FIFA World Cup, following a series of poor results that raised concerns about the team’s readiness for the global tournament.

The decision comes after a difficult run that included heavy defeats and failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, with the Ghana Football Association opting for a late managerial change in hopes of turning things around.

The timing of the decision has sparked debate, as Ghana now faces the challenge of appointing a new coach and stabilising the squad with limited time before the tournament.

Drawn in a tough group against England, Croatia, and Panama, the Black Stars must quickly regroup and build momentum if they are to make a strong impact at the World Cup.
