MCE Orders Arrest of Awaso STEM SHS Staff Over Alleged Food Theft

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipal Assembly has reportedly ordered the arrest of a Matron and a Cook at Awaso STEM Senior High School over the alleged theft of food items intended for students.

According to reports, a search conducted at the Cook’s residence uncovered several food items suspected to belong to the school.

The items allegedly retrieved include bags of rice, quantities of gari, tins of mackerel, milk, cooking oil, and other provisions meant for student consumption.

The incident has sparked concern among parents and the general public, as investigations into the alleged theft continue.
