The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that Ghana has deported three Israelis in response to what it describes as the ill-treatment and unjustified deportation of three Ghanaian citizens by Israeli authorities.

According to the statement, the decision was taken after the affected Ghanaians were allegedly subjected to unfair treatment before being removed from Israel.

The Israeli Chargé d’Affaires ad Interim was immediately summoned for discussions, as the Israeli Ambassador is currently out of the country. Both sides have, however, agreed to work toward an amicable resolution of the matter.

The government emphasized that Ghana remains committed to safeguarding the dignity of its citizens both at home and abroad, while maintaining respectful relations with friendly nations.

It added that Ghana expects its nationals to be treated with the same level of dignity that the country extends to other foreign nationals. The Ministry reaffirmed Ghana’s dedication to resolving diplomatic issues peacefully and ensuring that international partners uphold mutual respect in their engagements.
