I’ll Use Twi to Return NPP to Power in 2028 – Chairman Wontumi
The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, believes the party’s path to victory in the next general election lies in strengthening its connection with grassroots supporters through local language communication.
Addressing party faithful during a campaign visit in Accra on Sunday, March 29, 2026, he pointed out that engaging voters in languages they understand best is essential for building trust and mobilising support at the community level.
Chairman Wontumi, who has risen through the party ranks from constituency roles to regional leadership, said his experience has given him a deep understanding of the needs of grassroots members.
He added that if given the mandate as national chairman, he would prioritise the use of Twi as a strategic tool to communicate effectively with the base, expressing confidence that this approach will help secure victory for the party in 2028.
