American woman who claimed she was kidnapped deletes viral video – police reveal
Arianna Naomi Mackey, an American woman, said she was kidnapped and robbed by men pretending to be police officers. She has now blocked investigators and deleted the viral video where she shared her story.

According to a statement from the Ghana Police Service on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, Arianna has so far declined to cooperate with the investigation team.
Preliminary checks suggest that the video was recorded at a hotel in Accra where she and two companions were staying, and that they checked out on December 5, the same day Arianna reportedly left Ghana.
The police also revealed that they attempted to reach Arianna for further details, including the names of the alleged officers and the vehicle used, but she stated she was out of the country and could not provide the information.
Her friend, who was with her during the incident, has reportedly refused to assist the investigation. Authorities are now exploring diplomatic channels to secure her cooperation.
The Ghana Police Service emphasized that it is taking the allegations seriously and remains committed to uncovering the facts surrounding the case.
