Owners of 2023 vehicles to pay GH¢25 for digital record updates at DVLA.

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has announced that owners of vehicles registered before 2023 are required to pay GH¢25 to have their vehicle records updated on the Authority’s digital platform.

This initiative is part of the DVLA’s effort to ensure all vehicle information is accurately recorded and easily accessible online.

Vehicle owners affected by this update are expected to visit DVLA offices or designated centers with their vehicle registration documents, customs forms, and Ghana Card.

Once verified, the vehicle details will be uploaded to the digital database, helping to prevent fraudulent registrations and ensuring smooth processing of future vehicle services, including transfers and issuance of number plates.

This move aligns with Ghana’s push toward digitalization of public services, making it easier for citizens to access reliable vehicle information and for authorities to manage vehicle data efficiently.

Fee: GH¢25 (one-time payment) Who is affected: Vehicles registered before 2023 Purpose: Digital onboarding of vehicle records for verification and improved service delivery.
