Two UK-based Nigerian men jailed for 21 years for drugging and raping 15-year-old schoolgirl

Two Nigerian men, Fred Akinsanya (34, South Croydon) and Daniel Raji (29, Brixton), were jailed for a total of 21 years at Inner London Crown Court for raping a 15-year-old schoolgirl in Brixton on 8 Feb 2025.

They bought her drinks at Paddy’s Yard pub, invited her and friends to Raji’s flat to smoke cannabis. She blacked out after alcohol and collapsed unconscious. Both raped her in a prolonged assault; Raji filmed it.

Akinsanya got 10 years for rape. Raji got 11 years for two rapes and taking an indecent image of a child. They will likely be deported after serving time.

The victim, now in Year 11, said the men are "disgusting," she's lost confidence, stopped playing football, struggles with trust, school, and leaving home.
