You can ask Ghanaians to go back home, but don’t touch them - A South African Living in Ghana

A TikTok user known as ladystonegazey, who is believed to be a South African national living in Ghana, has issued a stern warning to her fellow South Africans in a viral video.

In the video, she stated that although Ghana maintains a strong diplomatic relationship with South Africa, it does not mean Ghanaians living there should be humiliated, assaulted, or subjected to xenophobic attacks.

She stressed that mistreating Ghanaians abroad should not be tolerated. She also noted that unlike some leaders who remain silent when their citizens are harmed or mistreated, Ghana values the welfare of its people.

She further urged her fellow South Africans to advise any Ghanaian they encounter without legal documents to return home peacefully or come back to Ghana, rather than resorting to violence or abuse.

In her remarks, she also highlighted Ghana’s historic contributions to South Africa’s liberation struggle during the apartheid era.
