Shatta Wale Launches ‘Project 1 Cedi’ Campaign to Fight Unemployment Among SM Fans
Ghanaian dancehall icon Shatta Wale has announced a bold new initiative called the “Project 1 Cedi” campaign, aimed at tackling unemployment and empowering his loyal fan base.
In a Facebook post, the Shatta Movement (SM) boss urged fans to take collective action by contributing just one cedi each to support job-creation ventures and youth-led businesses.

Shatta Wale published this post on his Facebook timeline.
“SM fans, let’s start paying our dues and build something for ourselves,” he wrote. “We can create jobs and opportunities if we all come together.”
The campaign seeks to harness the power of Shatta Wale’s vast fan community to fund innovative projects, promote financial independence, and create sustainable jobs.
According to Shatta Wale, Project 1 Cedi is not a donation drive but a movement for empowerment — one that encourages fans to invest in themselves and their future.
If successful, the initiative could become one of the most impactful fan-driven economic empowerment projects in Ghana’s entertainment industry.
