Qatar Bans Tourist and Transit Visas for Nigerian Men Traveling Alone

The Qatari Ministry of Interior has introduced stricter visa rules for Nigerian travelers. Under the new policy, Nigerian men traveling alone will no longer be eligible for tourist or transit visas unless accompanied by their families. The move comes after repeated cases of visitors overstaying their allowed period in Qatar.

In addition, applicants must now provide a confirmed return ticket and book their stay exclusively in five-star hotels. These rules apply to both new visa requests and those already in the approval process, meaning Nigerians currently awaiting visa decisions will also be affected.
