NADMO Staff Found Dead in Stream at Kwabre East Municipality

Residents of Abira and Krobo in the Kwabre East Municipality have been thrown into mourning after the lifeless body of a NADMO staff member was found in a stream separating the two communities.

The deceased, 60-year-old Thomas Obeng, had been battling ill health but was said to be recovering. On the day of the incident, he left Abira to visit his wife in nearby Krobo. He later told her he was heading back home but never arrived.

Hours later, his body was discovered in the stream, leaving family, friends, and colleagues in shock.

Police have since conveyed the body to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) for preservation while investigations continue.

The Assembly Member for Abira, Isaac Owusu Bempah, confirmed the heartbreaking news.
