Woman Allegedly Stabs Husband to Death Three Days After Wedding

A tragic incident has shaken residents of the Tashar Aibo community in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State, where a newlywed man, identified as Dan Gaske Mai Masara, was allegedly stabbed to death by his wife just three days after their wedding. The shocking event occurred on the afternoon of Sunday, November 23, 2025. The couple had tied the knot on Thursday, November 18, 2025.

According to neighbours, the victim, a well-known maize seller described as humble and hardworking, was asleep when his wife allegedly stabbed him in the neck with a knife.

The news has left the community in disbelief, with many expressing sorrow and offering prayers for the repose of his soul. One community member, Mohammad Jibo, shared a cautionary message on social media, urging people to walk away from unhealthy marriages before they turn fatal.

Local residents say the incident has cast a dark cloud over the neighbourhood, especially given how recent the couple’s wedding was. Many who knew the deceased continue to mourn him, noting that his kindness and dedication to his work made him widely respected.
