GAF to Recruit 12,000 Personnel in 3 Years as Recruitment Form Fees Reduced by 40% – Brogya Genfi
Deputy Minister of Defence, Brogya Genfi, has announced that the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) is set to embark on a major expansion starting this week.
According to him, the military will enlist 12,000 new personnel over the next three years to strengthen the country’s defence capacity.
He further revealed that the price of recruitment forms has been slashed by more than 40% compared to the previous exercise. This move, he explained, reflects President and Commander-in-Chief John Dramani Mahama’s commitment to making the process more affordable, accessible, and fair.
Mr. Genfi also emphasized that the recruitment exercise will be conducted nationwide, offering equal opportunities to all regions and promoting national inclusiveness.
In addition to what he had said he stated:
“Let this be clear: Recruitment into the Ghana Armed Forces is NOT for sale—and will NEVER be for sale under our #EagleEyes watch. Any individual or syndicate involved in fraudulent recruitment schemes will be dealt with without mercy.
“Take Note that no recruitment will take place on social media. The process will be transparent and professional. All qualified applicants must be medically fit and be prepared to abandon all hope of normal life!
“All the application qualification, procedure and regional centers will be announced within the week through the Ministry of Defence Ghana website, Ghana Armed Forces website, selected newspapers and electronic platforms. We are building a force that reflects the strength, discipline, and unity of Ghana,” he said in a Facebook post.
