Shock in Efiakuma as 16-Year-Old Boy Leaves Heartbreaking Note and Disappears

Residents of Efiakuma in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis have been thrown into a state of worry after a 16-year-old boy mysteriously left home, abandoning a heartbreaking note in which he accused his parents of not loving him.

The incident happened on Sunday while the family was at church. According to his mother, affectionately called Mama, her son had refused to join them for service. “We went to church and returned only to realize he was gone. He left behind a note saying we don’t love him, but we love him so much. We are pleading with the public to help us find him—we just want him to come home,” she emotionally told a presenter on radio.

In the handwritten note, the teenager, identified only as Emma, expressed deep affection for his parents but claimed they did not reciprocate. Part of the letter read:

“Daddy, Mummy, I really love you and appreciate you for what you have done for me. But you all don’t love me. I cannot stay with you anymore and I’m leaving this letter behind because I want you to know that I have left home and I’m not lost so don’t look for me and I will never return. God will take care of me so I’m saying goodbye to you all. Thank you. This is me, Emma.”

The note has left the family distraught, with the mother tearfully reaffirming their love for her son and begging for his safe return.

Police have since taken up the case and are working to trace the boy’s whereabouts. Meanwhile, the family is appealing to the general public to provide any information that could lead to his recovery.
