Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo “Kantanka” Passes Away at 77

Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo, the celebrated man of God, technological innovator, philanthropist, agriculturalist, and industrialist—affectionately known as “Kantanka, the African Star”—has reportedly passed away.

The Safo family and the Kristo Asafo Church confirmed that the revered Apostle died peacefully on Thursday, September 11, 2025. In their statement, they quoted Romans 14:8: “For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord.”

The announcement, signed by his daughter, Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo, former Member of Parliament for Dome Kwabenya, described him as a “gallant son” whose legacy was defined by resilience, vision, and an unyielding pursuit of excellence.

The family further noted that his life’s work and struggles embodied his dream of empowering Africans through faith, technology, and innovation.

His Family has released a public notice on how the burial would be done.
